FRANCK MULLER VANGUARD ROSE SKELETON BLACK DIAMONDS
First introduced in 2021, the Vanguard Rose Skeleton has charmed collectors globally. The elegant, artistically crafted watch offers an interplay of technical expertise with romantic elegance and glamour. The verdant floral decorations sprouting from the skeletonised bridges of the movement are handcrafted by our expert artisans, inspired by the picturesque landscape surrounding our Genthod manufacture.
This spring, we’re bringing a new dynamic to the Vanguard Rose Skeleton in a more seductive setting. A black PVD treatment on a white gold case and movement bridges makes the Vanguard Rose Skeleton even more beguiling than before. With 422 black brilliant-cut diamonds on the case and 75 brilliant-cut gems on the dial, the Vanguard Rose Skeleton Black Diamonds is designed to captivate your attention even more provocatively.
Gem-setting on PVD-coated components is more complex than on regular precious metals, as the stones have to be treated in a specific way before and after setting them in place.
To highlight the alluring beauty of the black gem-set case, each of the four versions of the Vanguard Rose Skeleton Black Diamonds have hand-painted enamel varnish displays in four different bold hues, paying tribute to the lively colours we see in nature during springtime. They are: a crisp white with green accents on the leaves and diamonds; cherry red with rubies; mint green with green diamonds and a pastel pink with pink sapphires to match.
The exclusive in-house 1540 VS17 calibre’s is slightly larger, with a PVD-treatment on the bridges, which brings out the colour of each floral display even more. The manually-wound movement has twin barrels that offer a combined 4-day power reserve, an impressive design feat given the compact nature of the calibre and relative slimness. Running on just 153 components, the entire gear train can be viewed from the front and back of the watch. The floral decorations on the bridges are hand- chamfered, satin-finished and enamelled layer by layer to bring out its rich colour. A small seconds counter sits on top of the enamel rose at 6 o’clock, a little detail noticeable only to the most observant.
The charming Vanguard Rose Skeleton Black Diamonds is a slim and svelte beauty housed in a little black case. It is a glamorous watch designed to stand out, both in its looks and technical savvy.
