FRANCK MULLER BRINGS WATCHLAND TO SINGAPORE
In 2022, Franck Muller will celebrate its 30th anniversary. In the run up to this milestone, the independent watchmaker is presenting an exhibition in Singapore exploring three decades of innovative watch design.
The exhibition includes a retrospective of Franck Muller’s watch designs since its founding in 1992, leading up to the brand’s latest releases. It explores how the watchmaker has introduced important innovations in Swiss watchmaking and participated in the industry’s revival with a maximalist approach to watch design.
AN INNOVATIVE EXHIBITION FOR AN INNOVATIVE BRAND
Visitors will be able to discover the world of Franck Muller through a range of creative installations and peer into the mind of the illustrious watchmaker who founded the eponymous brand. From the development of his earliest timepieces to the establishment of the Watchland manufacture, you will learn what makes Franck Muller tick, and what continues to invigorate our creations today.
The Franck Muller boutique in Wisma Atria has been transformed for this exhibition, which starts from 18 October 2021 until 20 March 2022. To illustrate the evolution of the Franck Muller brand, we’ve brought out 15 historic World Premieres and archival pieces, including the monumental Aeternitas 1 & 2, as well as unique models such as the original Crazy Hours and the Evolution 3-1 multi-axis tourbillon.
On display as well will be a unique design installation to showcase the complexities of creating a Franck Muller watch, as well as the original desk Franck Muller himself used to work at in the Watchland manufacture. This workstation was where some of our earliest icons such as the Crazy Hours, Master Banker, and Revolution models were invented and dreamt up by the man himself.
DISCOVER FRANCK MULLER YESTERDAY, TODAY AND TOMORROW
Along with the retrospective, a selection of our latest timepieces will also be exhibited, including the Vanguard Rose Skeleton and the Grand Central Tourbillon. We invite you to come and experience the universe of Franck Muller, and learn more about a brand that has continuously brought new innovations to the classic world of Swiss watchmaking.
Says Garrik Low, the General Manager of Franck Muller Southeast Asia, South Korea and Australia, “In the last two years, Franck Muller’s renowned World Presentation of Haute Horlogerie (WPHH) events have taken place digitally. While this has been an effective way of sharing news with our fans on our new launches, we wanted to bring back the opportunity to experience watchmaking in a more tangible manner. With this exhibition, we’re able to share the story of our brand in the context of modern mechanical watchmaking. Franck Muller has always defined watchmaking trends and will continue to do so in the future.”
